    How accurate are the valuations?

    Valuations are estimates based on aggregated third-party market data, historical sales, and proprietary analytics. They may not reflect actual sale prices and are subject to market volatility, item condition, and other factors.

    Does Rare Index authenticate items?

    No. Rare Index does not authenticate, grade, or certify collectibles. RI Certification is a data layer that links to third-party grading authorities (PSA, CGC, Beckett, etc.) and provides provenance information.

    Always verify authenticity through recognized third-party grading services before making significant purchases.

    How do I reset my password?

    Password management is handled through Auth0. On the login page, click "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions to reset your password via email.

    When will the API be available?

    What data sources does Rare Index use?

    We aggregate data from 17+ sources including licensed third-party providers, public market data, and first-party inputs. Data sources may vary by category and are subject to change to maintain quality. See our Documentation page for more details on data coverage by category.

    Is Rare Index free to use?

    Rare Index is currently free to use. All features — including the dashboard, registry, indices, portfolio tracking, and watchlists — are available at no cost. We plan to introduce premium tiers in the future for advanced features and may offer enterprise access for institutional users.

    We'll communicate any pricing changes well in advance via email and on the platform.

    How do newsletters and emails work?

    Rare Index sends optional newsletters, market alerts, and product updates to users who opt in. These emails include market insights, new feature announcements, and collectibles trends.

    You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting support at support@therareindex.com.

    How do I delete my account?

    To delete your account and all associated data, contact support at support@therareindex.com with your request. We'll process account deletions within 30 days and confirm via email.
